I have always loved the combined creative process to build a story that will engage, challenge and delight an audience.

William Ward is a multi-award winning Post Production Supervisor and Sound Supervisor with 20 years experience in film and television. He has Post Supervised over 40 titles since starting at Wildbear in 2018. Before joining Wildbear he worked as a Post Production Supervisor at Beyond Productions for Netflix animations (Beat Bugs and Motown Magic), Head of Sound at StageOne Sound/Deluxe Australia and prior to that Head of Sound at Spectrum Films.

He has sound supervised and designed a wide range of feature films from small and medium budget Australian films, including “Red Dog” and “The Sapphires”, to large scale international films such as “I,Frankenstein” and “Paranoia”. His work has ranged from large scale VFX-heavy studio films through to local independent feature films and television, documentaries & short films. Some of his credits include “Tomorrow When the War Began”, Peter Weir’s “The Way Back”, Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby” and “Australia” as well as recent Australian films “Breath”, “Otherlife”, “Berlin Syndrome”and “Holding the Man”.

William won Best Sound at the 2008 Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards for “Unfinished Sky” and was part of the sound team that won in 2009 for “Australia”, 2010 for “Tomorrow When the War Began”, 2012 for “The Sapphires” and 2013 for “The Great Gatsby”, as well as being involved in Australian Screen Sound Guild (ASSG) winning “Soundtrack of the Year” in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2016.
