Alan Erson is a dynamic force in the Australian television industry with a strong background in leading creative teams making high-quality science, history and natural history programming for global audiences. Before joining WildBear as Managing Director and Executive Producer, Alan was the General Manager Australia and Head of Factual at Essential Media and Entertainment in Sydney. Prior to this, Alan was ABC Head of Factual commissioning landmark series including Penguin Island (2010), Great Southern Land (2012) and Kakadu (2013). Some of his other recent credits include Australia, the Story of Us ( Seven), Getting Frank Gehry (BBC, ABC), Why Anzac with Sam Neill (ABC, Maori Television) and Todd Sampson’s Body Hack (Ten, Discovery) and We Love Nature (2017, Blue Ant Media) and Dino Bird (2017, Nat Geo).
